Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a Nature of Science (NOS) activity allowing middle school level students to experience a scientific research process to solve a given problem within a social setting. This activity treats a regular classroom setting as a learning community and helps students to ascertain NOS facets in an enjoyable way.
